How to Avoid Poor Quality Parts

Read these guidelines to prevent hazardous situations.

Is your supplier reputable?

To avoid unknowingly buying counterfeits, only shop at a reputable outlet (e.g. PROTON Authorised Service Centres or stockists with a good track record).

Is the packaging of good quality?

Check the packaging for incorrect spelling or faulty construction – common marks of a counterfeit product.

Is the price surprisingly low?

If you see car parts priced far below the normal market, there's a good chance they are fakes.

Who do I contact?

When in doubt, contact the manufacturer of the auto parts. If you think you've been sold a fake, you can give PROTON personnel a call and tell us your concerns. We will be more than willing to help.
