The Board of Directors of PROTON wishes to announce that the Company has today received notification under Part V, Section 11 (1) of the Malaysian Code on Take-overs and Mergers 2010 about the possible take-over.
Enclosed please find the Notification from Maybank Investment Bank Berhad on behalf of DRB-HICOM Berhad and Press Release from Khazanah Nasional Berhad with regards to the above.
Further, the Independent Directors of the Company wish to seek clarification as may be appropriate in due course with regards to the above proposal in the interest of the shareholders.
