Vital assistance to flood victims.

The Objective

As part of the Corporate Social Responsibility in delivering sustainable values to its stakeholders and the nation, PROTON took a four-pronged approach in assisting the flood victims.

The Approach

  • Offering special packages of service and repair, for flood damage cars at all PROTON service centers with special 30% discounts on spare parts.
  • Public Service Campaign "SAVE YOUR CAR FROM FURTHER DAMAGE" through mainstream media (newspapers and television) on tips to handle cars affected by floods which can help to reduce further damages and losses.
  • Setting up of a dedicated Flood Relief Service and Repair Centre at Tampoi, Johor with special service and repair package including service team going to the ground.

'Helping Hands'

  • Donate blankets, pillows and clothes through RTM's collection centre at Angkasapuri.
  • "Adopt A Relief Centre" - Donate needy items to fulfil flood victims wishlists (women personal items, pampers for children and adults, toiletries, towels, etc.) and cloths for the Yong Peng, Batu Pahat relief centre and food items (sugar, cooking oil, shoes and clothes to 2,865 families at Dewan Asrama Anak Yatim, Kota Kechil, Kota Tinggi. (Donation from PROTON Holdings, with joint efforts by PROTON Edar, staffs and dealers).
  • Collection of donations among employees organised by Kelab PROTON, Kesatuan Pekerja-Pekerja PROTON and Koperasi PROTON for the same purpose, which is to fulfil the 'wishlist items' of flood victims from other areas.

A Dedicated Flood Relief Service & Repair Centre at Tampoi, Johor providing hassle free service and repair experience for flood damaged cars. The centre is equipped with:

  • Well-trained technician with experience in rectifying flood damaged cars.
  • Special tools and equipment specific to Proton cars.
  • Dedicated Service Advisors to assist customers find best possible repair option base on financial status.
  • Guaranteed professional workmanship with warranty on replaced parts.
  • Logistic management of the flood damaged cars.
  • Continuous updates of the car progress.
