Program Sejahtera

Providing support for communities in need.

Together with other GLCs PROTON has joined Khazanah to spearhead the PROGRAM SEJAHTERA, a pilot project to 'ADOPT A COMMUNITY' at Kampung Teluk Melati, Maran, Pahang.

Program Sejahtera is a nation wide CSR program champion by Khazanah to under the Silver Book with an aim to provide support for the vulnerable communities in Malaysia for them to break out of the vicious cycle of poverty.

For this purpose PROTON has committed to:

• Help build 5 units out of 50 units of houses needed for the rehabilitation program for the vulnerable members of the society in Maran.
• Provide skills/training for employment opportunities; temporary/part time jobs or skills/training for beneficiaries to start their own workshops for basic servicing and repair of cars.

The program launched by the Prime Minister, Y.A.B. Dato' Sri Mohd. Najib Tun Abdul Razak on 4th September 2009.

• Malaysian Skills/PROTON Skills Nurturing young talents for a world-class work force.
• Safety Campaign Raising safety awareness and educational efforts.
• Pintar Program Helping children escape the harshness of poverty.
